Maja Vujičić
Maja Vujičić – assistant professor at the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Economics. She works at Marketing Department and participates in the courses: Marketing, Service Marketing and has implemented the courses Experimental Method of Research in Marketing and Neuromarketing.
The focus of her research is aimed at the following fields. One is social marketing which is focused on the encouragement of socially preferable behaviour, precisely, how to encourage an individual towards his/her own welfare and welfare of the society as a whole with the focus on non-profit market segment. Furthermore, research interest is directed also interdisciplinary towards behavioural economics, overlapping themes from economics and psychology, and field of consumer neuroscience which, besides the above mentioned, includes also neuroscientific insights with aiming at better understanding of individual/consumer. In 2013, in cooperation with Medico Polyclinic she carried out a pioneer research by using functional magnetic resonance imaging as an implementation of neuromarketing practice and supplement to theoretical knowledge.
As the first leader of Erasmus+ project WE-COLLAB - Collaborative and transparent use of Learning Analytics in online university courses, valuing the learner role and exploiting advanced monitoring equipment she has ensured fundings and collaboration with the partners (Italy, Denmark, Greece, Lithuania, Spain) in research on an interdisciplinary topic. The subject of the project research includes learning analytics and use of neuromarketing tools with the aim of bridging the gap of insufficient student engagement in online learning and innovating learning approaches in higher education.
She is a member of CROMAR – Croatian Marketing Association and Neuromarketing Science and Business Association (NMSBA).
