Helena Štrucelj

Helena Štrucelj teaches courses related to methodology of scientific research and communication in biomedicine and health. She is currently a member of the project team ,,Perception of organizational research climate at Croatian university / University of Rijeka“ (leader V. Pupovac) and a co-leader of research on the adoption of hand disinfection techniques with health students. Previously, as a high-school teacher and psychologist, she participated in several projects for adolescents: Prevention of violence in youth relationships (Project of Society for Psychological Assistance and Movisie, leader D. Ajduković), Learning School – part of the project Regional Support for Inclusive Education (Project of the Council of Europe i Freedom Education Forum, leader M. Brkić), Sexual violence – educational programme (Project of the Women's Room - Sexual Rights Center, leader M. Mamula), eSchools - pilot 151: Scientific research on the effects of the implementation of the e-Schools project: Establishing the development of digitally mature schools (pilot project)“, (Project of the Center for Applied Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Rijeka, leader Z. Sušanj), and Economic difficulties of families, psychosocial problems and educational outcomes of adolescents in times of economic crisis (Project of the Social Work Study Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, leader M. Ajduković). She is a participant in a final level of education for cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Research: As a doctoral student at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka, she is engaged in research on sleep quality and empathy, and some moderators in their relationship.
